The SoftSun 3.3K Linear light has proven ideal for the familiar staple of modern action movies – the car chase. Its rectangular profile, light weight and shock mounted lamp make it perfect for mounting on a moving car. The rectangular design allows for lighting the interior directly through the car’s rectangular windshield – offering natural illumination even close in to the source. Plus, SoftSun’s remote digital readout dimmer provides control of light intensity so precise, that when the car changes direction, a light intensity adjustment can be made seamlessly in a matter of seconds without stopping the car or adjusting scrims. All this is done with no change in color temperature.

The SoftSun 3.3K Linear light uses the ESL-DC lamp. With a true DC arc within the bulb the 3.3K is a reliable light source at any frame rate or shutter angle out to 20,000 frames per second.

The parabolic 3.5K fixture provides a similarly soft source with a unique ability to wrap the subject with light from all angles.
